    WARRANTY & GENERAL CARE

    • 12-Month Manufacturing Warranty: Covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship only, from the date of dispatch.
    • Wind and Weather Damage Not Covered: We do not recommend using your awning in adverse weather conditions. Damage caused by wind is not covered.
    • Also Not Covered: Incorrect use or mounting, normal wear and tear, accidental damage, punctured or torn canvas, UV degradation over time, condensation, zipper damage from excessive force, surface rust where lanolin maintenance has not been carried out, and damage occurring in transit.
    • Water Resistance: Bushwakka awnings are designed primarily as shade and sun protection. They shed nearly all water ingress, but are not sealed enclosures โ€” an occasional drip at a seam or hinge point in heavy rain is normal and is not a manufacturing fault.
    • Correct Mounting: Correct mounting with load-rated brackets is required for warranty coverage. Bushwakka reserves the right to deny a warranty claim if the recommended mounting distances or approved brackets (supplied, Bushwakka alternatives under ALL Accessories > Mounting Brackets, or outlined in our Fitting Advice) are not used.
    • Consumer Rights: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and for minor issues we will work with you on the best solution to keep your awning in top condition.
    • Labour and Third-Party Costs: Our warranty covers repaired or replacement products and parts. It does not cover labour, installation, removal, or costs charged by a third party.
    • For full warranty terms, including the claims process, refunds and chargebacks, please refer to our Warranty Information page.

    CARE TIPS

    • Open zippers fully before folding the bag to avoid stress on the zipper.
    • Roll up the awning tightly to minimise movement during travel and prevent rubbing and holes in the canvas.
    • Use lanolin spray on brackets and bolts to protect against surface rust.
    • Apply canvas reproofer spray to maintain waterproofing.
    • Check bolts regularly, as they may loosen during travel.
    • Fully dry the canvas before packing away to prevent mould.

    FREIGHT & DELIVERY INFORMATION

    • Always inspect the box before signing. If there is visible damage, refuse delivery and contact us immediately.
    • Report visible damage or missing components within 7 days of receipt. Internal defects or functional issues must be reported within 14 days.
    • If you request โ€œsafe dropโ€ delivery, Bushwakka cannot accept responsibility for freight damage or theft after delivery.

    FITTING ADVICE

    • Use the supplied brackets, or a Bushwakka-approved alternative listed in our Fitting Advice.
    • Observe the minimum bracket spacing specified in the Mounting Requirements section above.
    • Use every mounting point provided on the backing plate.
    • Do not over-tighten fixing bolts, and apply anti-seize compound to stainless steel bolts.
    • Mount to either your roof rack or your canopy โ€” not spanning both.
    • Confirm with your roof rack manufacturer that your rack is rated for the load.
    • Bushwakka reserves the right to deny a warranty claim if your awning is not mounted with load-rated brackets.
